About The Hair
Hair Additions UK use only the best quality extensions regardless of whether hair is real or synthetic. It is advisable that you have a consultation with us prior to having extensions. We will take a strand of your own hair to determine which type of extension and application system is best suited to you.
Asian Hair
Indian Temple Hair
Sourced from Temples of India and known as Remi hair as all the cuticles face the same direction. Finest quality in Asian hair which has never been exposed to harsh chemical treatments. Stephanie uses the Great Lengths technique which uses keratin resin, similar to the molecules in human hair, to apply the extensions. Proceeds received by the Temple for the hair are used to provide funding of schools, hospitals and orphanages in India. Available in different 30 colours.
Indian Brushed Hair
Cuticles tend to be rougher than Temple hair as they face different directions. Comes ready dyed with 23 colours to mix and match to individual client’s hair. Available straight or wavy. Only highest grade used.
European Hair
Sourced from Russia. European hair tends to be finer than Indian hair. Comes in a variety of 27 colours mixed to client’s needs. It is the highest quality hair available and therefore priciest. Available straight or wavy.
Silken Tresses Fibre
Synthetic hair made from acrylic based fibre. 18 different colours available. Comes in classic or wavy textures.
Different systems of extension application
Thermal Bonding
Also referred to as micro-bonding, and known as Racoon system. This method is used to add highlight strands, increase volume and length. Suits most hair types.
Cold Bonding
Ideal for weddings/special occasions. Lasts up to four weeks. Wefts of hair are attached close to natural hairline using liquid gold resin. Also ideal for those wanting to experiment with hair extensions for the first time.
Braids
Using four-steam braid method, natural hair is braided in with synthetic hair. This process requires two people so there is no tension at the roots. Makes hair more resilient.
